Sex in Heaven?

**Disclaimer** Josh did not start this thread.  I created this thread because Josh asked the question regarding sex in heaven which was derailing another person's thread.  

Josh's question is:

What about in Heaven? Not saying one way or the other. Although Jesus did create sex and its good. I've wondered this before but figure it's not something to dwell on.

There's no marriage in Heaven.. only union with God. Marriage is an image of the spiritual reality of Christ and the Church, and God and the soul. That is what we look forward to in Heaven.

There is such joy in knowing God in Heaven and seeing Him (think about how... you'll be able to love Him perfectly and completely there... He would literally mean everything to you)... anything earthly or any earthly pleasure pales in comparison. Even on earth, forms of mystical prayer are way more powerful and intimate (spiritually obviously) than even the most perfect human marriage. It is God that our souls are made for... only in Him we'll find rest. Everything else that He made, - it doesn't compare with His actual presence in the soul at particular stages in the spiritual life, and in Heaven. At first we don't see it that way because of attachments and also because we're going through the Purgative life etc. We just need to seek His Will, not any experiences including spiritual experiences. But our charity in Heaven will be such that the experience of knowing God will be infinitely greater than anything.
