I created this thread because Josh asked the question regarding sex in heaven which was derailing another person's thread. Josh's question is: What about in Heaven? Not saying one way or the other. I've read stuff from even Catholic writers that say that it isn't ruled out in heaven. But like I said earlier it's not something I'm gonna dwell on. Just because there is no marriage does not rule this out. If there is or isn't sex or something similar Heaven will be perfect so I'm not worried. But as I said my fingers are crossed. Really? Obviously not list or anything like that but...... Well there will be no male and no females. Think of how expansive just the known universe is now, in which we are like mote of dust floating in the morning sky. Just in the physical universe there is so much to explore so many things to be discovered. How much more there will be in heaven that transcends all our understanding now. In the life here after there will be so many more things to concern ourselves with than males or females. We will have friends in heaven of course but there will be so much more, more than you can even imagine. In fact anything we can imagine is nothing in comparison to what will be. I think it's pointless to think there will be sex in heaven since there will be 0 marriages in heaven. Marriage was given to mankind for unity and procreation/open to procreation. The correct use of sex is called the marriage act, so think about it. No marriage, no marriage act. Why no marriage act? Because after the resurrection there will be no procreation and we will already have perfect unity with each other in God. Furthermore after we die and are resurrected we will be all one big family in heaven. I would no more want to have sex in heaven then I would want to be married to my sister. Ever wonder why we say, "brother in Christ and sister in Christ" to each other? Lastly, which should be first, God is ETERNAL! He is so amazing sex won't even be on our minds. I don't understand why this is so hard for people to cope with? Is it because our society is so hyper-sexualized? Edited April 14, 2015 by Credo in Deum

We will have no need for sex in heaven because our every desire is fulfilled to the most perfect degree simply to be in God's presence and contemplate Him for eternity.

I will not even once have these feelings for all of eternity? You are sure of this ? Regardless my fingers are crossed.
