Well there are a few of us left who will do our best to keep the homefires burning. I am too old and too sick to enter. Other posters are currently in religious life, and have no plans to leave. Others previously were in active religious life, and later got married and are either expecting or have children--They have just as strong a vocation and that vocation is marriage. Others think they may be called to be lay members of an Order, rather than full-time religious. Others of us are married, but have family or close friends in religious life. Personally, I believe there will be a core that will keep Vocation Station not just alive, but thriving.

The the most important thing is that Vocation Station continues to attract new people--men and women--who come here for all kinds of reasons. Some may just be interested in learning what the religious life is about. Others may be seriously discerning religious life. Some may be like me, who, even though I am not called to religious life, have for many years been interested in reading about the religious life, and want to support those who called. We do our best to make new people feel welcome--Just get in there and start posting. If it feels sometimes like it is such a close, long-term group that no one new is welcome, I, at least, apologize for anything I might have done to foster that. The exact opposite is true. Some members have been posting for several years--but, for example, I have been posting for only seven months or so. But, we do become close--and we welcome you to share and join that closeness..

Many of our most active members entered religious life this past summer and fall, so this is the perfect time for those who have posted less in the past to post more often in Vocation Station.
