Ive taken pics as it was easier than trying to explain! This scarf isnt really big enough, but it gives you the jist, my hair is in a bun. Appologies for the vast expanse of back flesh - we are having a late heatwave! Tie the scarf under your hair Then tie it again over the point Then tuck the ends under With hair loose and a larger scarf you can get the looser look more like the ones on that website, but personally I won't spend that much as I'm stingy Edited October 3, 2011 by faithcecelia
cmaD2006
I like the ones from headcoverings by Deborah. They look a bit for classier/formal i.e. not the bandanna nor the simple hairnet look. I was just wondering if anyone on here has worn one (before I invest in one).

Lisa
I also found these headcoverings beautiful. They have scarves (with directions for tying in different ways) and snoods, http://www.tznius.com/cgi-bin/group.pl?id=14 Edited October 6, 2011 by Lisa

Totus Tuus
I used to, but I don't anymore. I stopped because the meaning that it once had for me it no longer has. Unfortunately I live in a place where wearing a veil will label you very strongly as a traditionalist, and my ability to reach out to people around me is stifled by that label (even though I'm not a traditionalist by any stretch of the imagination). I will save it for special occasions.
MarysLittleFlower
I started wearing a veil at the Latin Mass, but I have to say, I'm so nervous to wear it to the OF... I want to, because I do like them a lot. But I always feel like I'm attracting attention to myself. Now in the winter, I guess I can wear a hat.. but I'm considering wearing the veil sometimes, especially if I'm at the cathedral, or a more traditional OF. I personally would love to see this custom return. Edited December 8, 2011 by MarysLittleFlower
Papist
My wife after some praying and reflection has decided to wear a veil.
FutureSister2009
I know of only one person on this campus who wears one. And she is a friend of mine too so I know she wouldn't judge me for wearing one. I haven't quite felt comfortable enough yet here to wear one. Hopefully I will soon

When I started I was nervous but now I can't imagining going to church without one. I thoroughly recommend you try it out, at least just once.
I was very, very surprised when we moved that no one at our new parish veiled, particularly because Father is very traditional and even says most Masses ad orientum. At the parish we left, there was a small group who all started veiling around the same time and one lady who had been doing it since I started attending that parish several years earlier. I had started just shortly before they did. I was just getting to know them when we moved, so I don't know what inspired them to start, though I would've loved to find out. I almost feel like I should walk around with my hand covering my head or something.
