I believe I fully acknowledged that there are levels of sin. You fail to acknowledge that the power position now DISCRIMINATES based on AA. I am not in the power position where you claimed through some distorted reasoning that I was. Do you or do you not agree that when AA is applied to a job position in which a white candidate and a black candidate are available for the position and the white candidate is denied, not based on criteria appropriate for the job, but because he is white and does not fill a quota, that is not discrimination? Do you deny that this every happens? Have you ever considered the affects and that it might not actually help minorities in that it creates resentment in whites (not me but not everyone is Catholic) and therefore further discrimination? Where have I said I have not seen racism? You come up with these wild exagerations of what I say. You assume nonsense and raise up straw men against me to bowl them over. You bear false witness. You seem to lack the kahuna's to say, the government comes up with plan A. We have to go with it therefore because it is better than before (questionable since you ignore that there are consequences with plan A). I will ignore or justify what is clearly discrimination to make it okay. It's not about level of difficulty. It is about two wrongs don't make a right. There has to be a better way. [/quote] Well, when we find that better way, I know I would totally support getting rid of AA, because it does have flaw. And i think that dUSt would agree with me on this. I have known people for years and never really thought about their race. THere are actually lots of funny stories about that, bt that is not really for here.
