Taken on the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross... and that's not even everyone in the province! Mostly just formation houses, along with a few other apostolic houses from up and down the East Coast.

Having fun on the vigil of the Feast!

Oh. My. Gosh. I am SO jealous! :getaclue: LOL

But really, How was it? I love spending feast days with nuns!!!!!!
Well, I get to spend everyday with nuns. Haha. But the Feast was just... magnificent!! We got up there for the solemn celebration of Matins on the vigil of the Feast. Incense, adoration, chant, ahhh!!! In a brand new, beautiful, newly dedicated church!!! Then we went back to one of the convents for a long night of recreation, which was just a blast- lots of singing and dancing and candy eating and catching up with sisters I hadn't seen in ages. The day of the Feast was... great. We got together for brunch in the morning (picture was taken just after we ate). Then the apostolic sisters went to go set up for the feast. We (formation houses) joined for lunch, then helped prepare some more... Then a holy hour, followed by solemn vespers, and then the breath-taking Holy Mass!! A huge party afterwards, and then even more partying back at the convent... haha, it was an exhausting two days, but it was great!!

That sounds so amazing. God is good! "Incense, adoration, chant..." haha. I love it! I think that those are among my top ten favortie words in the world. I never grow tired of nun parties, but I love silence too. :nun: I am pretty sure I am spending Epiphany weekend with the Little Sisters of the Poor. I can't wait!!! Thanks for sharin' about your fun times. I love hearing about them. :) Your in my prayers!

Yes, she lives in a hermitage in Q's grounds and comes in for Mass - the pic is her sitting at the borrom of the bell tower where she sat for Mass. When there are Clothings, Professions, etc you get a little note from her asking if you would be kind enough to share the peach with her at Mass next day, which is like being embraced and smothered with kisses from a doting auntie, lol!!!!!
