I don't see anything in his comments to indicate he's a Protestant.... a crazy person, yes, but not necessarily a Protestant one.

Yes, but MANY protestants believe it. Let me give you proof.

Its a very sweeping statement, bit like saying 'Americans believe' or 'blondes believe'! I have never heard those things from a real protestant (ie one who actually has a faith as opposed to just not a Catholic).

Agreed, Protestants have definable doctrines, the crazies don't.

Well, okay... they pretty much hate everyone. Most Protestants, while holding to their own set of doctrines, allow for differences. In other words MOST Evangelicals wouldn't say that Lutherans were not Christians for example (like this website does). Or Amish, or Orthodox, or Catholics. MOST Protestants have a fairly wide umbrella of what makes someone a Chrstian.

Protestants are the best example of people who believe in what they want to believe. Thats why a lot of what they say does not add up.

Can we say conspiracy theory? I mean I'm surprised anyone really believes this stuff. Protestant or not.

I don't believe any of this stuff. Of course, I don't call myself a Protestant because I'm not protesting the Catholic church.

BTW--I missed if someone posted this before, but the Pope's shoes are red. (Check next time.) They look totally cool.

The Pope wearing red most likely comes from the Pope's use of the mozzeta.

Is the "mozzeta" the Catholic word for "yarmulke?" (That's what they call it where I live, and it's usually black except at weddings.)

This. I was always taught for example Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses were in no way at all Christian, and that Catholics were sort of a person by person thing, because they were so apathetic and had tendencies towards idolatry and such. That said, it was a "known" thing most of them weren't Christian.

No, that would be a zuchetto, the mozetta covers the shoulders, it's red except for Easter time when it's white.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. And, Pope Benedict DOES wear red shoes, too? Right?
