TheresaThoma Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012
Typing on a non-computer is annoying.
Excuses, excuses....
Deus te Amat Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 Alright, well, the Red family is amesome. I was barely out of the car when I was tackled by Red junior. Literally tackled. He was so cute. Then Red made me a delicious lunch. And then I hung out with her kiddos. Followed by the whirlwind Catholic tour of her town, such as it is. That was fun. Nap time was next -- much needed by then. The party was lots of fun - I hope I didn't embarrass Red too much. I got the phone call from the Sisters... The next day, her dad took me riding in his Porsche and we went to an antique car show, both of which were amazing. Red then took me out for delicious burritoes and coffee. And then I went and stalked the sisters. The end.
Deus te Amat Posted July 25, 2012 Author Posted July 25, 2012 Oh, and Red, who doesn't like beer, bought me lots of beer.
Deus te Amat Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Knee length cotton black slips, with a slit for running. Help.
One of the ladies at my parish has a daughter who is a ND she mention the cotton slips were one of the harder things to find. I think she said they ended up buying her daughters from a lady in PA. If you want I can ask her if she has the contact info.

Lisa Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Do you know how to sew and have a free afternoon? I made mine (in white) for less than $3 of fabric in one afternoon. But I know time is more valuable than money at the moment. Here you go!!!!!!!! Lisa Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Also, on the initial screen, there's a pop-up box. If you sign up for emails (lol), you get a 10% discount!

About the only thing I was able to come up with in black was culotte slips. I also found websites where you can have slips made-to-order.

I was not able to find any pre-made black cotton slips with the slit, but there were a few choices in black cotton pettipants which would help with running. The other alternative is to place an order for a made-to-order slip. Here are a few choices: Ilusion Women's Cotton Pettipants Sewing with Grandma -- made-to-order cotton slips
Lisa Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Thanks, Mater- I missed that! So very specific. Potential 5-minute solution: cut a ~4 inch slit in the back, fold under the exposed edges, and zig-zag. If you don't have a machine, I bet one of the church ladies does and would be more than happy to do that.
