Totally Franciscan Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Go St. Anthony !!!!! Anyone else want to bet that the letter arrives on the final day of the Novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots? That's my guess! Our Lady and St. Anthony - now that's powerful!
AnneLine Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012
Agreed, Iggy! Mater needs all the friends she can get... and maybe God will get tired of us yanking on his robes and locate the letter in the heavenly Dead Letter office.... Sr. Mary Catharine (of the Summit Dominicans) reminded me a while back about asking St. Andre Bessette for help --- and she should know -- check this out....
Thank you SAINT ANDRE! ... Here at the monastery we have a special reason to celebrate the canonization of Saint Andre Bessette. When Sr. Mary Cecilia entered she came to the US from Canada under tourist status while awaiting the R1 status. We were told it would take about 6 months. In early November we learned that it would take more time than that. What to do? We decided that she and Sr. Mary Catharine should make a pilgrimage to St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal to ask the intercession of St. Joseph and St. Andre and thereby extend her “tourist†stay with us..... Read the rest here: http://nunsopsummit.org/archives/2091

Did I mention that she is PROFESSED with Summit now? I think we should include St. Andre & St. Joseph in our lineup......

I went to the Oratory, Notre Dame Basilica, Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours, and other churches just last week! I forgot to tell you Mater, we prayed a novena to St. Joseph on the pilgrimage, and I kept you and all the pmers (especially FCC) in my intentions for the novena and when praying at the Oratory and other churches.
nikita92 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I checked out your link AnneLine! That is a great article and the pictures, especially of the nuns with their great big SMILES!! I would love to visit the Notre Dame Basilica some day! It is so beautiful!!
VeniJesuAmorMi Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Maybe it will be today! You have prayers coming from over here MM! That would be really exciting if it did come today (well, when it comes when it does it will still be very exciting!)

To Jesus Through Mary Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 ACK!! Last day of the novena!! Prayed a Memorare just now. Please Mary guide this letter to her!!
MarianGirl Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Ack! I'm new here, but an old hand at waiting on the decision of a community. I've been waiting for a month, and was told to expect it to take about two more weeks. I'll be going about my business, working, doing whatever, when all of a sudden *BAM* I think about the impending decision and my heart starts racing, I check my email excessively, refrain from texting the VD... lol... Glad to know I'm not alone in this! Prayers.
littlesister Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Courage, all of you! We've all been there to one degree or another, but that doesn't make it any easier. Mater, you've been in my prayers, too.
OnlySunshine Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012
No mail today?
The letter didn't come. Please keep praying.
OnlySunshine Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 I went to Confession today and told my associate pastor what had been going on because I've been have a lot of difficulty with impatience lately. He asked me to scale back posting on the internet because he thinks that I need to focus more on what God is saying in prayer instead of posting online. Because of this, I will not be posting every day here and I ask that you please not PM me. I'd appreciate your prayers and I am so thankful for you all. However, this is a very personal journey and I already feel like I've shared too much. I hope you understand and do not think me rude. I love you all and I will let you know when things are more definite. Thank you for your understanding!
Chiquitunga Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 (edited) totally understand, Mater!!! you aren't being rude in the slightest! this is totally between you and God (and your pastor/sisters, etc.) you're under no obligation to share here. know of my prayers for you edit: spelling error Edited October 28, 2012 by Chiquitunga

AnneLine Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Mater, Those who love you will understand. I think you've shared about the right amount... and you have given us a beautiful example. We hold you in prayer... please do the same for us.... You know how to find us if you need us.... just look at the Eucharist. Blessings....
