No she cannot be retried, because that would be double jeopardy, which is unconstitutional. So many online petitions went around after the trial asking for her to be tried again. Do people not even know what is written in their own constitution?

That said, may God have mercy on her soul and lead her to repentance.

For what it's worth, it's an Associated Press article, HuffPo is just one of many news outlets reporting this.


I completely understand that "innocent until proven guilty" should be upheld in principle, but that case, and now this development....man. Sometimes the results can be a pretty tough pill to swallow. It is all just a tragedy every way you look at it.

Like it or not, the US has a fallible human run system of justice.

There are theories the Dad may have killed the child, or at least, was involved. The Mom is also believed to have helped cover things up.

This just sounds like baloney, they have no reason to do that. She's the only one that went partying and lying about all facts. Lets put the blame where the blame belongs. Are you her lawyer?
