I didn't mean to offend anyone. (I sure Winchester did though, so we can attribute the quote to him!) I'm part French... there's nothing too wrong with it... Don't freak out... mamalove
75% German (my ancestors who came over from Siestig, Germany are buried 5 miles from my home) and 25% English (we think). I'm not sure, does anyone know where the last name "Lane" originated from? If it helps, the Lane side is Protestant. (Grandpa converted when he married Grandma.) BurkeFan
I'm 75% German (my grandfather was a German immigrant... and a Knight of Columbus. I wish I had gotten to know him, or knew him at all). I'm also 25% Italian, and my great-grandfather was an immigrant, and the story of his coming over is actually pretty cool, I think. But, for another time. In summary: 75% German 25% Italian In Christ, Dave
Iacobus
About 85% German. 15% British. A trace of Scot way back. And my anti US thinking goes way back. The Brit was a RedCoat sent over to kill as many "American" rebels as he could. He decided he liked Canda. LOL and stayed after the war. The German is freaky. LOL! Both sides came from the same town in Germany. Didn't know each other, lol. But some time during the Suiox wars outside of IC a weagon train was attacked and all but one small child was killed. So before that, my family history fathers side is rough.
