I always bring a journal with me when I go on retreats. Last year, I was so glad I brought one because I sat in front of the Blessed Sacrament and talked to Jesus. I wrote what I was saying to Him in my journal and then went back and read it later. It was some very powerful stuff. I didn't bring one to my first retreat and I was frustrated about that but I had learned my lesson. Besides I like writing so.....
