CrossCuT Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Oh, another thing. I am often told by my mom and grandmother that I'm an "old soul." I love things from other eras more than my own - especially Victorian. I love antique shopping, watching PBS more than any other station, watching older movies (my favorite is "I Remember Mama"), etc. I relate more to people older than me than people in my own age group. I think that's why I want to be in long-term care administration. I love being with the aging. :) I relate to most of the things on this list: http://www.buzzfeed.com/laraparker/signs-you-are-an-old-soul I think you hacked into my brain. That basically just described me. XD You two would enjoy Jane Austen if you arent already fans of her.
OnlySunshine Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 You two would enjoy Jane Austen if you arent already fans of her. I love the movie, "Sense and Sensibility." But, my favorite all-time modern day movie that's based on literature is "Little Women" (1994). :)
brandelynmarie Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I've ran away before...to Switzerland! I'm very good at mimicking a guinea pig although I don't know what I'm saying... I started reading at college level when I was 13... I'm fond of art from the 1100's... I didn't start driving til I was 26...up til then I either walked or got a ride...including hitchhiking!
CatherineM Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I started reading at 3, but couldn't tie my own shoes until college.
Ancilla Domini Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I have a friend who is personally acquainted with Papa Benedict. My brother was also blessed by Papa Benedict before he became pope.
Ancilla Domini Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I knew Abigail Breslin when she was littler. She and spent an entire afternoon together once - we baked cookies. :)
Amppax Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I have a friend who is personally acquainted with Papa Benedict. My brother was also blessed by Papa Benedict before he became pope. You're Pope Francis' sister? :o
Ancilla Domini Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 You're Pope Francis' sister? :o Naturally - a 61 year age-difference is extremely common among siblings. XD
Ash Wednesday Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) I'm American, but I live in England. Sometimes I get very, very homesick. Last night I had an anxiety dream. I got very upset in the dream because in the dream, I felt that American toilet paper was far superior to what they have in England. Edited August 2, 2014 by Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Yes, waking up from that dream and realizing that I really did dream about being upset about toilet paper was actually pretty hilarious.
Nihil Obstat Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Is it actually better, or was that just one of those things that only makes sense in the dream?
Ash Wednesday Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Is it actually better, or was that just one of those things that only makes sense in the dream? There really is no difference in real life, but yeah, it made perfect sense in the dream. :paperbag: Edited August 2, 2014 by Ash Wednesday
Amppax Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Well to be original: I was born and lived in France when I was younger and was fluent in French. I've since lost it, but I'm hoping to gain it back one day (soon)! I still feel really attached to French culture and language, and though I'm not French at all heritage-wise, I *feel* French. :) And no, I'm not lying. Well, maybe I did. I was born in Switzerland. Geneva, to be precise. But I did live in France and speak French.
CrossCuT Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Im the 3rd of 8 kids and we are all cray. (Although Im the only fat kid so it makes me feel lonely)
Amppax Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Is it actually better, or was that just one of those things that only makes sense in the dream? British Toilet Paper is to American Toilet Paper as British Dentists are to American Dentists. :|
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I was going to say that Korean toilet paper is the same as American toilet paper but then I remembered that I bought American toilet paper when I lived there... I got nothin'.
cmaD2006 Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Argentinian and Mexican bathroom tissue is not the same as American bathroom tissue. I was sooooo happy when I returned to the US.
