Catherine Therese Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) The glass from the frame of my theology masters degree smashed while I was evacuating my home in last year's bushfires... I still haven't replaced the glass and its hanging on my wall, covered in ceram-wrap. Edited August 7, 2014 by Catherine Therese

brandelynmarie Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I have never liked summer squash (the yellow kind), white button mushrooms, or okra. The texture is too weird and rubbery. I will eat, but not enjoy lima beans, butter beans & bananas. I think it's a texture thing. I consider them penances. ;)
brandelynmarie Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I once got to help recover silt from a set of 13,000-15,000 year-old wooly mastadon bones. I named her Millie & she now hangs out at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. :)
OnlySunshine Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) When I had to get my immunizations updated before starting my CNA clinical, they did bloodwork to measure my titers for MMR and Varicella Zoster (Chickenpox). The MMR was low so I had to get a booster shot for that but the Varicella was so high that the machine couldn't even calibrate it (which was nice at the time since it was one less vaccination). Unfortunately, it means I'll probably get Shingles later in life. Hopefully, I can avoid it if I get a shingles vaccine. Edited August 7, 2014 by MaterMisericordiae
CatherineM Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I have outrageously low cholesterol. It was 57 once. 50 of the good kind, and 7 of the bad. I routinely have to take the test over again because they think it's a mistake.
OnlySunshine Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I love historical cities. My favorite place to visit was Williamsburg, VA with my junior high school band in 1998. I've always wanted to visit Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, and Jamestown. :)
Clare~Therese Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I went out for breakfast this morning with my mom and a friend of hers.
Spem in alium Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I sing medieval Christmas carols in the shower.
CatherineM Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I'm tall, and wear size 14 extra narrow shoes.
Clare~Therese Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I've been reading random sections of Sayings of the Desert Fathers.
Credo in Deum Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I will read a book halfway through and then start a new one. Once I've read halfway through the new book, I will go back to the previous book and finish the remaining half.
OnlySunshine Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I had a big growth spurt starting in the 3rd grade. My mom bought me shoes from Stride Rite and I'd change shoes at least twice each year because I'd grow out of them. I got such bad growing pains, too. Plus, since I had such long, narrow feet, I had to have shoes from a specialty shop where they could tailor it to your foot (if your ankle bone hit the top of the shoe, they could put in a lift, etc). I felt like I was walking around with big feet for a few years because I had to grow into them (like a puppy).
TheresaThoma Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I'm better at remembering Hail Holy Queen in Latin than in English and it is a toss up on the Hail Mary between Latin and English.
Credo in Deum Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I'm an assassin for a secret government agency. My code name is: Cool Breeze.
Catherine Therese Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I just finished a packet of marshmallows.
OnlySunshine Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) As a kid, I used to love Peeps (those little marshmallow chicks or bunnies with tons of food coloring that are popular at Easter). Now I think they are so terribly disgusting. :x I love the combination of black and white - especially in regards to animals. Everytime I would tell my mom I liked something, it would be a tuxedo cat or a border collie. I wasn't doing it on purpose, though. My favorite composer would have to be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I used to love Johann Sebastian Bach's compositions the most when I was a kid and would even write letters to him on a computer (one of those really old floppy disk computers with no games, just a word processor and data entry applications).
