Hi Sister!

 

In a nutshell? I came back with an entrance date; it became clear I wasn't meant to enter; had to begin to learn how to deal with my brokenness; felt rejected by the Church; rejected the Church; got my backside into gear and into a Confessional again; and then, as they say, you pick yourself up and carry on as best you can :)

 

In the meantime I became a teacher, which is just [b]hilarious[/b]. I should never be given charge of children or young people, I'm far too much of a bad influence :w00t:

After. The order is 1) tea, 2) sugar, 3) milk.

Else the sugar might not dissolve so well, and the previous point that you don't want to make it overly milky.


I was told once that the proper English way was milk in first? He said, "milk in first, lest anyone think we were Irish." Lol. I asked him about it again and he said the milk should go in first, otherwise it scalds and changes the taste. He also said that gave rise to certain people being "M.I.F.s" meaning they're old fashioned and proper.

But anyway ....  Margot from Fortnum and Mason says that milk "before" was originally the way, but later putting in "milk after" became the sign of proper fanciness cuz it indicated that you had better quality china which wouldn't crack if you just poured hot water into your cup.

I love Lady Grey with raw honey and stevia.

 

When I make TeaVana Rooibos & MateVana, stevia is enough.  Same with black tea.

 

English Breakfast (and similiar stuff like Irish Breakfast) call for both stevia AND milk.  ;)

I do sometimes, depending on the tea. Green tea or orange tea for example.

I am fond of English Breakfast tea, steeped with green cardamom pods & a splash of milk, bit of sugar. Homemade chai!

 

Tell you what IS good: put a couple of crushed cardamom pods in your French press. Cardamom coffee is wonnnderful.

I prefer fruity and herbal teas without sugar or milk.

 

 

A good, well steeped standard English Breakfast/Earl Grey type tea, I like a little sugar and milk in it. My relationship with tea is complicated.
