God has someone wonderful for you, and it's fun to speculate they'll be like... but I think that it's best to not create a long list, because it could be a barrier to seeing that sinner beside you who is your future spouce. Perhaps your future husband/wife doesn't even know God yet? Perhaps you'll be the one to bring him/her to God? Perhaps she hates football. Perhaps he doesn't have a Masters degree. So what? So I think standards are good, speculation is fun, but a 30 item checklist can be a stumbing block. Very loving towards people, esp. children 3. Understanding and forgiving 4. Likes stuff that I like (LOTR, ECF, Philosophy) 5. Charming personality and good sense of humour 6. Likes the outdoors 7. Is lady-like (has good manners and is polite in conversation) 8. Loves the vocation of wife/mother with a passion There's more, but that should do for now.
