Thy Geekdom Come

[quote name='theculturewarrior' date='Nov 13 2005, 06:17 PM']No entendi!

Only God has nothing that's missing?

Que significa "bastar?"

I don't know...it was something I learned in seminary :idontknow:

I have a sense that it's the words St. Teresa of Avila wrote in her breviary, though.

Let nothing disturb thee.
Nothing affright thee.
All things are passing.
God never changes.
Patient endurance attains to all things.
Whom God possess in nothing is wanting.
God alone suffices.

[quote name='theculturewarrior' date='Nov 13 2005, 05:33 PM']I don't know what that means.

I'm going to have to ask for prayer.

It's a Napoleon Dynamite thing.

I'll be offering up my 7pm Mass for you (along with all of the anxiety + stuff that comes with being a cantor :pinch: )

Relax, God's got your back! Trust in Him, and He won't let you fall. Remember, you don't have to say yes to anything she says. You will be OK. I'm sorry if I scared you with the friends-with-privileges stuff...

She was just kidding about that! :D: She knows how weird I am about that kind of stuff so she teases me.

I REALLY like her! We didn't spend any time on my porch. We spent most of our time cleaning my apartment. (I REALLY like her).

I still have my innocence in tact. I feel like I know her a little better and there is a bond of trust. I REALLY like her!

Now I have to guard my heart and keep myself from falling madly in love on the third not-a-date-yet. (That didn't go so well for me, last time).

I've established two things with her. One, I told her about my medical history, and we still have plans to meet again, and two, she would be no more impressed with me if I were a rich attorney, than a pseudo-librarian who can't afford to go out to eat.

And she practically just fell out of the sky!

Pray for me, that God help me keep my heart locked with seven locks, and that I can keep myself from calling her more than once a week, and that I email her an appropriate amount, not too much, and that God give me the grace to focus on my school work and not write songs and poetry etc., because I barely know her, we've only been out twice, and I'm probably not looking at this coherently.

^I'm looking at what I just wrote and thinking, "here we go again!"

We're going to the beach, next. I want to watch the sun set.
