Nor should you. Trust God.

I don't know what that means.

I'm going to have to ask for prayer.

It's a Napoleon Dynamite thing.

I'll be offering up my 7pm Mass for you (along with all of the anxiety + stuff that comes with being a cantor :pinch: )

Relax, God's got your back! Trust in Him, and He won't let you fall. Remember, you don't have to say yes to anything she says. You will be OK. I'm sorry if I scared you with the friends-with-privileges stuff...

She was just kidding about that! :D: She knows how weird I am about that kind of stuff so she teases me.

I REALLY like her! We didn't spend any time on my porch. We spent most of our time cleaning my apartment. (I REALLY like her).

I still have my innocence in tact. I feel like I know her a little better and there is a bond of trust. I REALLY like her!

Now I have to guard my heart and keep myself from falling madly in love on the third not-a-date-yet. (That didn't go so well for me, last time).

I've established two things with her. One, I told her about my medical history, and we still have plans to meet again, and two, she would be no more impressed with me if I were a rich attorney, than a pseudo-librarian who can't afford to go out to eat.

And she practically just fell out of the sky!

Pray for me, that God help me keep my heart locked with seven locks, and that I can keep myself from calling her more than once a week, and that I email her an appropriate amount, not too much, and that God give me the grace to focus on my school work and not write songs and poetry etc., because I barely know her, we've only been out twice, and I'm probably not looking at this coherently.

^I'm looking at what I just wrote and thinking, "here we go again!"

We're going to the beach, next. I want to watch the sun set.

She likes to go to clubs. I hate clubs! So we're going to the beach instead. I didn't tell her that I wanted to watch the sunset, but since it sets at about 5:30, I think it's a given. :D:

I think at some point I'm going to have to go to a club. And dance. :(

you could enroll in the Photosynthesis School of Assertiveness Training and show her who's boss!

you can also tell her that you only go to clubs where they play Palestrina.

I believe in equality. I'm a liberated man! :P:

(Although women usually are the de facto boss, in any sane relationship, anyway).

Umm....
If you think that all that stuff is not-a-date, you're kidding yourself. I'm sorry. If you really don't feel ready to date her, then don't date her! You're sending her mixed signals here...

Beach at sunset??? Not a date? I'm sorry, when there's something like that, it just sounds like you're scared to admit it's a date. Just because nothing physical is going on, it doesn't mean it's not a date.

Anyway, I'm just trying to be helpful, even if I'm totally misreading it.

I've still got some time to think about this. On our first not-a-date, she asked me, "so what is this, a date, or just friends?" I told her it was just friends. Maybe when we go to the beach, I will ask her, "so what is this, a date, or just friends." I'll figure it out. It won't be this weekend, it will be the next. I've got some time to think, so does she!

DTR stands for "definition of relationship."

you know, those "where is this relationship going?" conversations?

usually women initiate them, and the man wants no part in them. :idontknow:
