theculturewarrior
She likes to go to clubs. I hate clubs! So we're going to the beach instead. I didn't tell her that I wanted to watch the sunset, but since it sets at about 5:30, I think it's a given. : I think at some point I'm going to have to go to a club. And dance. photosynthesis
you can also tell her that you only go to clubs where they play Palestrina.
theculturewarrior
I believe in equality. I'm a liberated man! : (Although women usually are the de facto boss, in any sane relationship, anyway).
scardella
Umm.... If you think that all that stuff is not-a-date, you're kidding yourself. I'm sorry. If you really don't feel ready to date her, then don't date her! You're sending her mixed signals here... Beach at sunset??? Not a date? I'm sorry, when there's something like that, it just sounds like you're scared to admit it's a date. Just because nothing physical is going on, it doesn't mean it's not a date. Anyway, I'm just trying to be helpful, even if I'm totally misreading it.

theculturewarrior
I've still got some time to think about this. On our first not-a-date, she asked me, "so what is this, a date, or just friends?" I told her it was just friends. Maybe when we go to the beach, I will ask her, "so what is this, a date, or just friends." I'll figure it out. It won't be this weekend, it will be the next. I've got some time to think, so does she! photosynthesis
What's a DTR?
DTR stands for "definition of relationship." you know, those "where is this relationship going?" conversations? usually women initiate them, and the man wants no part in them.
