TV in general isn't trash, there are some things that are trashy but just because its a tv show doesn't mean it is. And I really would suggest forming some opinions for yourself and stop letting everyone else tell you whats good and bad. If you haven't seen it, don't tell me its trash.
HomeTeamFamily Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 ok just reading this thread for the first time, i have a couple of thoughts first.....while the content of the show may not necessairly be all trash and may have some moral value to it, that is certainly not how the show is advertised......it seems to highlight the extramarital affairs, etc etc etc.....for that reason, it will turn off alot of the potential viewers on phatmass who are searching for moral tv. second, i agree that if you are going to judge a show, you should at least watch it once, thats why i wont cast a final judgement on housewives because i havent seent it......and i havent seen it because frankly it just doesnt look that interesting third, it is unfair of you (1337) to judge greys anatomy as a show about people having sex. if you have seen any of the episodes, or any string of episodes, i would say the sexual nature of the relationships is dealt with maybe 5% of the time.....it is a medical comedy/drama...and part of that is the relationships with the characaters. if you are going to judge greys as a show about sex, then any show that implies sex with umarried people should be lumped in teh same category ok im hopping off the soap box for now btw go greys anatomy!
franciscanheart Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 i have to agree with everyone about george and bree. and gabrielle too! haha. i was so touched when gabrielle wanted the sonogram picture in the ambulance. i seriously choked up. awwwww. and greys anatomy... i forget what everyone said about it. i like it. hate me, call me a dirty sinner, think im a bad Catholic........ if you havent watched it, if you havent watched at least five episodes (because yes if you havent watched it from the beginning it takes a while to understand whats going on and appreciate the happenings) then dont say its carp. after that call it carp all you want. im really not one to care.

It doesn't really look that bad overall. I was mostly joking in my comments in that I was doing the same thing I was condemning .

While it's clear that Bree didn't call an ambulance, I don't think George is going to die from taking those pills. He's a pharmacist and knows exactly what he can take to make it seem like he's going to die but won't kill him. He's a total psychopath and was trying to manipulate Bree all the way until the end. Bree knew it too and decided to turn the tables on him. Even if the pills are deadly, he may just call an ambulance himself. The nun story arc looks like its going to be really funny. The funny thing is that the nun and Gabrielle really have a lot in common as far as personality goes. The battle over Carlos has begun.

Gabrielle donated a lot of money to the church so Sr. Mary could go to Africa, only to discover later that Carlos was going to go too. She didn't tell the doctor's office that he was allergic to eggs (she told them fish eggs) and he had a reaction to the yellow fever vaccine, preventing him from going.
