Guest Rick777
I just recently switched parishes, so this is my new parish, St. Margaret Mary's. These pictures are from last year but it still looks the same. : Edited July 10, 2006 by Rick777
isilzha
I finally had a chance to go through and look at everyone's pictures and they are so beautiful. I just loved looking through them and seeing so many different beautiful churches, and how they can be so different from each other and still so wonderful. veni
Here is St. John's Catholic Church in Enterprise, Alabama....not exactly a cathedral, but it's spiritually rich. These pictures were taken on Palm Sunday Here is the parish outside for the beginning of mass for the blessing of the palms. Inside The window above the altar with the Risen Christ The grotto outside (not in its full blooming garden glory, but still beautiful) Even though it is a small Alabama parish, there are benefits. like not being in a city, so there is plenty of nature surrounding the church, and being in a small southern town, the parish family is strong and friendly. BTW, this picture thing was a GREAT idea! Edited July 10, 2006 by veni creator spiritus
isilzha
I forgot this picture, its of the bell tower. One of the things I really like about this church is the bell tower. My other parish (I'm between two parishes right now, but I wouldn't show you pictures of my other parish because you guys would hate it ) was that it had a real bell. The other parish that I went to all my life has an electronic bell, which isn't anything like the real thing. Mari
Rick777, maybe its the photos but your church makes me feel like home. The photo with the beginning of Holy Communion is nice, especially, that you have to kneel to receive the Holy Sacrament! I like the one with Adoration, those little ministers are sweet. Bytheway, one priest seems really tall, amazingly tall. : Beautiful altar and tabernacle, makes feel welcomed, longed-for. Maybe the exposure (with the help of lighting) draws your attention to the most important place? Your church reminds all those sweet meditations on how Christ waits for us in the tabernacle, silent, desiring we'd visit Him, talk with Him, go to kneels in adoration and thanksgiving... In what city, state is your new parish? So, now something from Europe, although 19th century. This is Tallinn's (Estonia) Sts. Peter and Paul's cathedral and also my homeparish. The door is open, so welcome : Corpus Christi celebration in 2006 After the ordination of our bishop (not in the photo).
