Christ never said it following him would be easy. Ted Kennedy's hard line pro-abortion stance is one very significant factor in legalized abortion in this country, so I hardly think not being overjoyed with praying for his survival makes me somehow evil (or stupid in MKolbe's case).
Pray for his salvation.

I love that quote. It's so fitting on soooo many occasions. I should tape it to the top of my computer monitor.
Some of the replies in this thread are exactly why I opted to post the prayer request about Lawrence King in the prayer room, where people COULDN'T reply... because I knew the focus would be taken OFF of the tragedy and placed on people's petty opinions of like or dislike, agreement or disagreement.
Besides, you should be praying MOST for your enemies and those who persecute you, as often that is the only way to "reach" them.
Prayers for Ted Kennedy, Obama, Clinton, and all others who can use their position in the gov't to put an end to the slaughter of the unborn if only they see the light.

Prayers for George Bush.

Prayers for all the voters of our nation.

Thank you, Alycin. You rock my socks!

I do apologize if I have offended anyone. Yet I do stand by what I said, the abortion holocaust is far worse than the jewish holocaust, and thus Kennedy since he is a Leader and supports the abortion holocaust is worse than Hitler. The blood of millions of babies cry up to God for justice, 3,000 more per day for America, 100,000 per day for the world.

I do indeed pray that God's will be done for Ted Kennedy, nor do I wish him ill.

Don't worry, you have a right to your opinion.

Remember, we are called upon to judge the words and deeds of a man, but we leave the judgment of his soul to God.

wtf dude... he didn't command the death of all of these babies like hitler led the holocaust and other offenses on human life.

Is he wrong for the harm he is causing and contributing to in politically supporting legalized abortion in the U.S.? Yes.

But did he stoke the movement that brought about the deaths of all of these innocents? Does he support abortion as a way of exterminating part of the human population?

He is a pro-choice senator. He supports the 'right' for a woman to procure a legal abortion.

If you think his soul is any worse off than most anyone who holds public office, whether they're "pro-choice" or "pro-life" then you've got another thing coming...
What made Adolf Hitler, and Joesph Stalin evil was not so much their policies but the fact they regarded certain groups of persons as not human or unhuman and supported the termination of those indivdials existence. Plain and simple the same is true for Obama, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, and any other Abortionist Leader, and since more have died in the Abortion holocaust than died under Adolf Hitler, and Joesph Stalin, the leaders who support the Abortion Holocaust are in fact more evil than ether Stalin or Hitler.

Replace the word fetus with Jew and maybe it will be understood. I guess it would depend on if one believes Adolf Hitler, and/or Joesph Stalin to be evil.
you can play your numbers game as much as you want, but you need to go back to your first sentence. Somehow you think you can't be opposed on your statement of what exactly made Hitler and Stalin "evil."

If they had not enacted the policies they put out with the power that they exercised as the chief ruler in their respective country, they very well could have been just another bigot with prejudice in their mind and 'hatefulness' in their heart. This means that if your first statement is correct, then there are a whole lot of hatecrime perpetrators in the U.S. that are gonna be sharin a cell with Hitler when they die, far more in line in front of Ted.

Are you actually saying that Ted Kennedy hates the unborn like Hitler hated the Jews? If anything, he doesn't give a beaver dam about them and could care less if any are actually killed by abortion, so long as abortion remains legal.

To merely say he's 'worse' just because more babies have died by abortion in the U.S. then Jews by the holocaust under Hitler is completely fallacious.

the darn auto-edit thing keeps changing the word h-a-t-e to "hate (don't hate, appreciate)"

But, Ted Kennedy and Abortionist leaders, like the leaders of Communist Russia, and Nazi Germany have indeed 'enacted the policies' as well as law that have striped the personhood of a group of people and allowed the termination of those individuals. Again, what made Adolf Hitler, and Joesph Stalin so evil and so wicked was not so much their bigotry but their support and passing of policies or law which regarded certain groups of people as unhuman and supported the termination of those individuals. Abortionist may have a different means but the end result is the same. It is wrong to kill a human, but in Nazi Germany Jews were not human by law and could be legally terminated, and thanks to Kennedy, and Abortionist like him, in the Untied States a fetus is not human by law and can be legally terminated.

Ted Kennedy like all Abortionist leaders håte the unborn, they don't give a beaver dam about them, and have written laws and voted on laws which directly allows the death of babies, millions of millions of babies.

He and abortionist leaders like him are not merely worse because of the numbers, but because they are a great cause of those numbers.
Ted Kennedy like all Abortionist leaders hate (don't hate, appreciate) the unborn, they don't give a beaver dam about them.
You can't have it both ways.

Apathy, or as you put it, not "giving a beaver dam" about someone, by it's vary nature cannot be used in conjunction with hatred or any other stance for or against.

hate (don't hate, appreciate) constitutes caring about what's going on, in a negative way, in a way that wishes harm upon said receiver of such hate (don't hate, appreciate).

To be clear:

Are your assumptions only applying to abortion rights "leaders", or anyone at all who is pro-choice?

I beg to differ, not giving a beaver dam about someone like a baby by which that not giving a beaver dam allows that baby to murdered is indeed hateful.

My logical argument applies to those that enact law or fund the enactment of law which leads to the persecution on the unborn. But not a poor mother which has an abortion is very often seduced by Abortionist leaders into thinking the child is nothing but a mass of cells.

Apathy is worse than hate (don't hate, appreciate) in most cases, but it's still illogical to try to say that someone both doesn't care, and hates. Hatred tends to imply passion.

Posted (edited)

I asked the second question, by the way, because I used to be very much pro-choice. And it wasn't because I "hated babies" in the least! It was because I bought into the lie that it wasn't technically a life until it had consciousness and blah blah blah. It was because I couldn't get past the, "but what about the mother...?" thoughts, couldn't find any people that really gave me good answers, until I investigated the pro-life movement WITHIN the walls of the Catholic church.

I just think it's crazy to assume that because someone is stuck in ignorance that society perpetuates, that you can label them evil.

I don't think every single white person who owned slaves or who thought black people were less than them were evil, especially young people who were raised to believe that. It's just a matter of being ill-informed and having something drilled into your head so long that it seems quite normal.

It is completely logical. Forgive me for not being clear, to not care about someone is not to love someone, the love everyman should show and have for every other man. If a man were to violently murder a child does he hate (don't hate, appreciate) the child? Yes, indeed he does, murder is the ultimate act of hate (don't hate, appreciate). Does he care for or about the child, no indeed he does not, or he would not have murdered the child.
