So I went out and started the books in August.....

Read Twilight in 2 days

Read New Moon in 2 days

Read Eclipse in 2 day

but I am having trouble finishing Breaking Dawn :(

Am I the only one that has found the last book hard to read?

I think that I am in  with Edward.....

I had a friend like Jacob, and I do feel her pain when she sees him in pain over her...

I still hear about my Jacob (Frank) all the time.

Those are all great songs!!! Most of them totally remind me of Bella and Edward too! Have you heard Paramore's song for the Twilight Movie soundtrack? It's called Decode - GREAT song. Here's the soundtrack:
Muse — Supermassive Black Hole
Paramore — Decode
The Black Ghosts — Full Moon
Linkin Park — Leave Out All The Rest
MuteMath — Spotlight (Twilight Mix)
Perry Farrell — Going All The Way (Into The Twilight)
Collective Soul — Tremble For My Beloved
Paramore — I Caught Myself
Blue Foundation — Eyes On Fire
Rob Pattinson — Never Think
Iron & Wine — Flightless Bird, American Mouth
Carter Burwell — Bella's Lullaby

OMG ROB PATTINSON HAS A SONG!!!!!!! :lust:

 It's funny because I help out with RCIA at the parish that I go to in the town of my college and at the lesson last night the topic was "Who does the church say that Jesus is?" So we talked a lot about Him being the second member of the trinity and looking at the heresies throughout church history regarding both His divinity and humanity. At one point our parish priest posed a question that asked, "Did the Word of God celebrate His seventeenth birthday?" and that totally reminded me of this quote. :lol_roll:

Not even Edward can compete with the awesomeness of Our Lord.

 • 2 weeks later...

The books are okay. I guess being married and 22 makes it harder for me to fall in love with fictional characters. :P: No offense to anyone currently in love with Jacob or Edward, I probably would have been if I had read these at 17. Ill read Breaking Dawn soon, and I am going to go see the movie with my 16 year old neighbors. Im looking forward to recessing into teenhood for a night. :lol_pound:

The last book sucked for the most part, but I still like the Saga as a whole.

Cant wait for the movie!

I read the first three novels with my wife in one week of vacationing. We read the last one together the first week it came out.

I loved the stories. Very easy and accessible with an interesting (albeit far less developed) take on the plausible redemption of vampires. It will be interesting to see where she takes it.

Much more interesting will be Ann Rice's upcoming return to her vampire series where she explicitly redeems the vampires by an integration of her own return to the Catholic faith after 38 years of atheism (which inspired the dark series in the first place).

That does sound interesting. Much better than say Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer who is never meant to redeem his soul apparentally.

I find it strange that there's this long thread on the series and movie yet several months back I started a discussion on the movie coming out and hardly anybody joined in on it.
