To join them one must go through formation as a regular (active/contemplative) FI Sister first and then it is discerned later if you're being called to the wholly contemplative life, and you can always be asked to return to active/contemplative life. I believe it's 4 monasteries they have there. Their habit is a little different .. the veil is a darker/deeper light blue, the giumpe/wimple goes down farther in front and the mantle is blue also. Beautiful Poor Clares! Would be wonderful if they made a foundation in the US some day. I want my family to be there when I receive the habit! I'll talk to my parents and see if they'll agree to drive me up there *sigh* I wish I could drive. but my parents won't even let me get a permit. [/quote] I didn't get my liscense until three weeks before my 18th birthday. There's no rush, really, and my mom drove me to a final profession of vows of a local order.
