AnneLine Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 Just realized I never posted my OWN books!!!! (Way too much counting, too little reading going on in AnneLine land!!!!) I have finished Sr. Wendy Beckett's Pains of Glass. It is a small but beautifully done book on the Story of the Passion as shown in the windows of the King's College Chapel in Cambridge. It is a lovely little book! 48 pages I also have finished Mount Joy by Daisy Newman. This is an interesting 'coming of age' story about a young girl, Maris, who has an interest in medieval art and who wins a prize for an essay. Rather than taking the money and applying it to her college tuition, she decides to use her money for a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela..... A little dated (written 1968) but still a good read. (279 pages) Will be posting my updated totals soon... and there might be some surprises!!! he he he Hey Byz... where are you????? I don't think this week could have been more crazy! And next week college starts up again... :unsure: My stack of library books is being neglected! Cry! I do have a few books to put on though. His Lordship's Chaperone by Shirley Marks (266 pgs) Ridiculous book and pretty funny! An easy fun read. Bound To The Warrior by Barbara Phinney (279 pgs) Um, it was ok. The plot was ... generic. Outcast, the Un-magician by Christopher Golden (227 pgs) This book was really good! A nice work of fiction! I can't wait to read the next one. False Colours by Georgette Heyer (317 pgs) I love this book. This is possibly my favorite book, and I think everyone should read it. Hilarious and the characters are so real and wonderful; Georgette Heyer really is an amazing author. Well, I hope I will be able to fit in a few more books before the end of the month, but we shall see. Thanks for doing this competition!
