MissyP89 Posted September 4, 2013 Author Share Posted September 4, 2013 Put 1,000 words out yesterday, picked out a cover image, got in touch with all my columnists. Still waiting for submissions to come in, but I should have them all soon. Received everything I need for 7 of my 9 cherry recipes. The other two just need photos. Got calls from the gynecologist (lol!) -- interviewing her at noon Monday, a call from a mom wanting me to do a story on her daughter, and a call back from a doctor. MissyP89 Posted September 5, 2013 Author Share Posted September 5, 2013 Thanks, Annie. :love: A lot of my current stress has to do with the fact that I am currently putting together my breast cancer special edition, which is an annual project with a lot more content *I* write (as opposed to receive from others). While planning this issue, I was zealous and took a little more on my plate than was wise ... and while I'll be fine, it's been insane. With Lori gone, I no longer have a boss. I don't have anyone to talk to at work, to edit me, or to bounce ideas off of ... so I am on my own. I will be done in about 18 months. Two stories done, two almost ready to begin writing ... recipes ready to be put together, 3 of 4 columns in my possession, both calendars in my possession, briefs ready for assembly. We're getting there. We start design on the 17th. It's gonna be hectic with all the other projects I have to handle now -- just got the bridal guide today -- but I'm gonna push through this month and then we're done with the fall craziness. At least I get this weekend to celebrate two years with a certain someone. :love: And then I will get to see him again at the end of the month when all this insanity is OVER. Time to clean off my desk, make my to-do list for next week, and leave the newsroom behind me. There is much love to be shared tomorrow.
