Iacobus Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Do I date? Nope. Will I ever date? Yes. Will I use the canoe test? You bet. LOL! The only reason I would date is to A) find out what I want in a future wife and B) see if the person I love is the person for me (canoe test). And I would always use the canoe test. It means taking a canoe (and probly go with a group of people to prevent foolory doolory) and going out at least 5 or 10 miles and staying over nite for a day or two and paddling back in. You have to share the canoe with the person who you are testing. If you can manage to work together and canoe and aren't trying to kill each other after camping for a few days (not in the same tent, lol, you are in a group, lol, rember?) than you are workable. LOL! Warning to all females, the question from the mouth of Iacobus could mean "Wanna get married?" or more simpy "wanna go canoeing? LOL!" so be careful. I just hope I can find a Liz that canoes and isn't dumb. LOL!
RandomProddy Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004
Your mind controls everything. You control your mind, you control yourself. [Keep that in context of the topic, and dont go for the 'car line']
Fine, if that true, then if you go for a checkup, when he does the knee-jerk reflex test, tell yourself you can stop it with your mind.
Iacobus Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004
Good, and im a gentlewoman ( if there is such a thing!)
Really not sure why I am saying this... it is the AP brat in me. Yes, Gentlewomen do exist. They are the wives and daughters of gentlemen, lol. Or at least in the olden sense of the word. Today, well today, Colleen is making me read books by female authors and *shudders* I am enjoying them. So you can't be sure of anything today.
stagefairy Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004
QUOTE (theculturewarrior @ Aug 11 2004, 01:27 AM) I have to agree with hughey. Deep kissing has an effect on a man roughly equivalent to...well...I can't say it. That's how bad it is. Well that shows a weak man, and a weak mind.
While I agree that we can control our minds and wills, I think we have to keep in mind that God designed our bodies a certain way. Can you spend a lot of time kissing (and I'm not talking about the friendly peck on the cheek... ) and never lust? Can you be sure that you are not tempting the person you are kissing to lust? God designed us in such a way that deep kissing sets the tone and mood and desire for the marriage act. Two questions to think about: What is the purpose of physical intimacy? Am I trying to find 'how far I can go' without going 'all the way' or am I protecting myself and this person I care about from any hint of lust?
MorphRC Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004
Who's being fake? Maybe u should be a bit MORE sensitive, sometimes u talk to people in an unfair manner, and im not the only person that thinks this
I said, I prefer to be blunt than fake. I didnt point anyone out. I am sensitive, when the times calls. You talk to me like im missing apart of my brain, Youre to OVER-Sensitive, to everything. I dont care what people think, what impact are there thoughts gonna have on me? ZERO.

I'm glad my husband didn't do that with me, because I tend to throw dice at people when I get mad.... he found that out a little too late, but he can't trade me in now!!!

franciscanheart Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004
I could't help but laugh when I read that. I loved everything you said too. I think another important thing to remember is: Am I using this person to get something. For guys that can sometimes be physical and for girls it can be emotional. And nobody should ever use another person or be used.
hehe.... thanks. and i couldnt agree more with that.
franciscanheart Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004
pfft. Might as well stay single.
i couldnt DISAGREE more

I have gone as far to make a vow with God and to whoever my future wife will be I am saving my first kiss for our wedding day, and it feels great!
wow, will you marry me? lol im in high school now and get a lot of carp for my views as well. heck i get a lot of carp from adults! i think youre vow is awesome!!!! you seem so cool.
yep.... and its completely unnecessary to bring those feelings into a dating atmosphere. it completely warps your senses.
StColette Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 I agree Laura, it does warp your senses, and we all know that the young people ( lol my self included ) are already warped enough

franciscanheart Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 and i disagreed with your statement which disagreed with mine.... which means we have two very different views, i agree with me (obviously) and you agree with you (obviously)

You were the one who went to B&N. But I'm glad you're enjoying them.
