In terms of dating relationships, what's an acceptable age difference?

I think age matters. age difference is OK and it should be relative (i.e. a 20 year age difference between a 70 year old and a 90 year old doesn't make as much of a difference as it does between a 20 year old and a 40 year old.

but i know people in their 20's who are dating people in their 40's and it just tweeks me out.

I don't think that's right...

I picked 5 years at the most.

I said age doesn't really matter. If God wills for someone to fall in love with another person who is 20 yrs or more older or younger then so be it :)

I picked 8 yrs just because it sounded good. But I think it depends on a lot of things. In general it's up to God, but there certainly must be reasonable limits.. maybe.

But I suppose I agree with Jennie, for the most part.

I think it has to be aleast ethier 2-5 years, or none at all. I really dont think A person sould date someone older than them or younger than them by a decade or something.

When that happens I think its more of a lustful relationship as opposed to Love.

Really Love, uncondictional Love knows no age. Thats a Fact.

Age doesn't matter. Period.

You're kidding, right? I know a couple who are 17 years apart. They have one of the most healthy, blessed, and sacred marriages I've seen.

They are doing far better than alot of the couples I know who are the same age or very near the same age. Your generalization makes no sense.

When God puts someone special into our lives, age shouldn't be a determining factor in whether or not we see them as "dateable."

Who are we to put limits on what God can do?
