 He is so amazingly matter of fact about it all too...he really minimizes his sufferings...& it's neat how his gift of stubbornness saved him... Edited by brandelynmarie

Read that one.

Currently I'm toggling between A Holy Life: The Writings of St. Bernadette of Lourdes by Patricia A. McEachern, and The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Anne Catherine Emmerich.

Okay, right now I am in the middle of On Christian Liberty by Luther... it is driving me a little nuts... this man's writing to very verbose and redundant considering he keeps reitterating faith alone...

A bit out of character for me, but a friend lent me The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson. Apparantly I'm in a stressed period and she thought this would do me some good - thing is, she seems to be right so far. It's a clear and simple message without making me think too hard. Which is good, because I'm heading for brain-overload at the moment.

Love and prayers,

PP

It's her personal diaries from when she was a postulant and sister and her experiences with Jesus.
 One of my favorites; it almost ranks beside The Story of a Soul in my book list.

I haven't had much time for extra-curricular reading since school began, but here's what I'm assigned for my syllabus this quarter:

The House of Seven Gables
The Scarlet Letter
The Federalist Papers
A Documentary History of the United States
Catholic Morality by Fr. Laux

The Catechism
The Cleaving of Christendom by Warren Carroll
