I just made a list in my mind and there are over 30 phatmassers who I have encountered in RL. Just a sampling: LoungeDaddy, homeschoolmom, Brother Adam, Mrs. Bro Adam, Luthien, Azaelia, Moosey, Manockster, Raphael, StColette, IcePrincess, Oik, goldbug16, jiyoung, phatcatholic, Aloysius.

Total number that turned out to be creepers: 0
Total number that I ended up marrying and making babies with: 1
Approximate number who have something that used to belong to me or I have things in my house that belong(ed) to them: 8+
Total number that I expect to see this year: 12+

I've met quite a few as well...I think it must be the Steubie connection. I think the only two I have met who weren't FUS types were hugheyforlife (a kind and gracious hostess) and zabbazooey (sort of randomly at the Carmelite motherhouse in Alhambra). But there are many more from FUS whom I've met. Also a couple from FUS who I found out later are on PM. Small world out there, y'all...

I've met other online types as well, and some of them have become very good friends, but it's always good to exercise caution. It's easier to make yourself into something you're really not when you're online, to be honest--you can have easier custody of your words and actions, and can hide some of the...weirdness. lol.
