I ended up overcoming my struggle with calling the Superior of the order I am discerning with. I talked to her today and was so glad to finally hear her voice after 4 months. TheresaThoma Posted June 15, 2012 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Last night I was able to talk to a friend who is a Dominican priest about my discernment. It was good to just talk it out with someone. I had been toying around with the idea of not finishing my degree, it is going to be a big financial commitment for me and I wasn't sure if I would even use it. After that conversation and the one that I had with SrMJ (the VD) about a week ago I've decided to finish out my degree. My Dominican friend told me that it can relieve a burden when you are in formation (and thus still discerning), it gives you an alternative. You don't feel like you have nothing else that you could do. Now I just have to make it through the next 18 months! (Ok kind of scary thought it really is only 18 months, almost to the day, till I graduate. I have a lot of paperwork to get done!!) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
