brianthephysicist Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Some days I feel like a virtuoso. Other days I pretty much just feel like this. The end result on good days and bad days seem remarkably consistent though. rotfl

arfink Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Yup. Gonna use the laser today. :bounce: Edited July 23, 2013 by arfink
arfink Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 The laser has been fired. First piece is done. Now to work on the others.
BG45 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 As long as the laser doesn't shoot out your mouth! Nice piece! Also, every time I submit a dissertation revision, I add a building or two to my Single Player world Dissertania. Today, I added two statue guardians on either side of the entrance. AnneLine Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 How cool... both of you! And I finally admitted publically that I am a Secular Carmelite on Vocation Station. So no, I am not a Franciscan, for those who thought otherwise. Nor a Jesuit, nor a Domincan. he he he
arfink Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 Actually, I have decided rather than activate sleepy Snorlax mode, I will activate Massive Buddha Beats mode! RAWWWWR
AnneLine Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Had a friend who had a Buddhist Church meet in the flat over her home. Sounded VERY much like that.... it was NOT sleep inducing, you are right....

AnneLine Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Snorlax > Buddha. Or not. :| Snorlax = Buddha. I win. Snorlax: Achieving Enlightenment By Sleeping and Eating  :idontknow: But he's cute! Edited July 24, 2013 by AnneLine
BG45 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Snorlax is pretty cute. I have a plushie at home of him.
AnneLine Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I never heard of him until yesterday. But somebody has been watching my house...
BG45 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 For real? (or if not for real, you'd know Snorlax was. He weighs a ton...literally.)
arfink Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 So today at work, someone emailed me to complain about how a newspaper reporter had taken quotes from one of our board members out of context and twisted the words, and was there anything I could do about it? I had to remind him I'm in social media, not media relations, despite the similar name, and passed the buck, but not before reminding him that the beauty of social media is that we do not have to worry about reporters twisting our words, because we have a direct way to participate. I think some of our people do miss that point, and hopefully this will help clue him and a few of the others in to why social media is pretty important for them.
