Cockatiels are SO SMART!!!!   Had a friend who had one, and I fell madly in love... If it had sung to me like that... well.... Mr. Anne Line would have had competition...

It is my friend. Look!

Aww he took his food. It was cute though. :p It reminds me of the time I gave my cat Val a little bit of tuna that was left in the can after I made sandwiches, he was happily eating when Boo sauntered into the room, hooked one claw over the edge of the can, and whisked it right out from under Val’s nose. Poor Val just stood there looking confused. :p

He does have a lot of fur to feed.  Perhaps it is not THEFT.... he is uh... just distributing more of the goods in his own direction....   ;)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/06/nsa-phone-records-verizon-court-order

The NSA has officially been caught red-handed spying on US citizens without cause and without warrant. They have used a twisted understanding of the Patriot Act to force cell phone providers (and very likely internet providers, among other service providers) to cough up huge amounts of their consumer information, without warrant. The NSA has been forcing Verizon in particular to provide them with records of every phone call in the United States and abroad which include the name and phone number of each party involved, the duration of the call, unique hardware identifiers, and the location of each participant in the call.

As the law stands, this appears to be illegal, because this is domestic communications, right? Wrong. The NSA has decided that since they're not actually forcing Verizon to record your calls and turn that information over, that this "extra stuff" doesn't count as communications. It's just "metadata" and so they can request that without warrant.

I'm sure the EFF will be filing yet more lawsuits over this infringement. Expect US news sources to ignore this story.

Well, my birthday must be getting close. Family members asking me what I want. Is it bad I can't think of anything much? Well, I know what I want, but nobody can just give it to me. :P
