MargaretTeresa Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 When you cry at your friend's wedding, realizing that no one your friends marry will ever add up to your betrothed.
ameliabedelia Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 when you hear a bell that even remotely sounds like the Angelus bells at "your" convent and get butterflies in your stomach.
TheresaThoma Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Finding out that yes you can make a Gregorian Chant station on your Pandora makes you incredibly happy.

There are about three parishes within a two mile radius if I ever get tired of campus Mass... When your friends complain the only apps on your phone are "church" apps. (our 2nd Mass starts at 5:30) Isn't that ridiculous!?!?!? It's worse than a high school schedule. Ugh. But I found an 8:15 at a nearby church Starting the day off with Jesus!

LaPetiteSoeur Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 When listening to the news, reading the paper, or reading online news and you hear: Nashville and think of the NDs Terre Haute and think of Carmelites Ann Arbor and think of the DSMME Cherry Hill and think of the LSIC NYC and think of the Sisters of Renewal and the SSVMs Alabama (anywhere) and think of the SSEWs New orleans and think of the Ursulines etc.
she_who_is_not Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 When you apply for a job in a city with the Motherhouse of a well-known order and think, "I could go to Mass at the Motherhouse!"
FutureSister2009 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 When you're excited that you'll be going on a retreat next month with a group of girls and staying in a Convent! We have called it a sleepover in the Convent!

I do this especially with Carmels! I was thinking about the nuns in Brooklyn (and others of course!) all throughout the news before Hurricane Irene hit NYC. Praise God it wasn't too bad!
LaPetiteSoeur Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Also, when watching Notting Hill, you point out to your Methodist friend that "You know, there's a Carmelite Convent there that's pretty well know..." Yes, I did that on Saturday. And she thought that was pretty cool!
OnlySunshine Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 ...When you think each and every order is absolutely beautiful even if you know that you're not called there.
