HopefulBride Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks pham. Please please pray for my sister (and a bit for me) but more for her.
HopefulBride Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 Not as sick as before but still feeling blah. How's everyone's Tuesday going?
Maximilianus Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I can't hear you, SAK PASE!
Lisa Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I keep thinking you're saying "sake please!" But I don't think that's what it means... HB, keeping you in prayer.
Maximilianus Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 HB can send me some sake, but I'd rather have Barbancourt.
TheresaThoma Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Lisa it is a term from Haitian Creole, literally translated it means "what happened"/ what is happening. I guess the closest "american" version is "whats up?" There is also a similar French (almost slang) term "ce que passe" but the ce que gets mixed together when you say it. I'm not really sure how to type it out phonetically though. And there is your language lesson for the night!
Lisa Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Thanks TT! I kind of knew that (or a rough equivalent), because it's relatively similar to "que pasa" in spanish But every time I opened the page, I read SAKE PLEASE!
HopefulBride Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 Does it taste horrible though? I don't know but the name doesn't sound any appealing or tasty.
BG45 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Personally I don't like it...but I don't like most alcoholic drinks.
TheresaThoma Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Good sake is yummy not too much "taste wise" though, bad sake.... YUCK.
HopefulBride Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 Bonjou fre'm. M'la, Koman ou ye? oh yeah, domi nan je'm
