Now ... you're right, I don't think I have any right to stop anyone from getting a tattoo. But having said that -- I have every right to not have to put up with a tattoo on my significant other for life. It is a matter of preference. Finally, my niece at one point was adamant about getting a tattoo at 18. I mean, she was planning a trip to California and wanted a high-end artist and all the hoopla. But a taxi driver's really smart comment made perfect sense. Would you put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari (or place really fancy $100,000+ car name here -- I don't remember the brands sorry)?
