People don't like being called prudes. Seems pretty common sense to me. And you may find it funny, but the person on the other end of the "joke" may not. Just because I have a minority opinion on this thread doesn't mean that I am being a prude.

She never said you were a prude. You are the one who is calling yourself that.

Nope.

I never have homework. I'm never given assignments. I just practice the concept or learn whatever the subject is. Home schooling is sweet indeed...

So how's that regime working out for you, vis-à-vis algebra?

Also, personally, I don't find that to be a negative term. But maybe that's just me.

She was obviously not talking about the people who agree with her point of view. That would mean she must be talking about those who disagree.

I was not calling anyone on this thread or forum a prude. My avatar is St. Michael. I'm confident that Winchester is well aware of who's portrayed - he was making fun of the scrupulosity of certain posts in this thread by pointing out Mike's bare-chest. I continued the joke.

By the way, you aren't a prude. Not unless you're "allergic" to discussing sexuality and the reproductive system. That's what I consider a prude anyway.

If you had the choice of [s]roommate [/s]housemate, same gender or opposite gender, which would you choose? I think it is important to understand why you chose what you did. Because if all things are the same except for gender, then why you chose what you did?

I've been away for a few weeks so I've missed a load of this but this kind of jumped out at me.

Most of my friends are male, I get along better with men than with women. Almost all of the women I know are the catty, gossipy types and I have very little patience for it. Men are much less silly and I find all-girl houses seem to be consumed by drama and petty arguments and talking behind people's backs. Having a mixed house seems to make for a much nicer atmosphere. I wouldn't choose to live with only men, but I've found living in a house where the gender mix is even has worked perfectly.

Maybe if you'd quit calling people prudes and attacking them so viciously.
Oh, I understand! My last semester of undergrad I lived with 5 other girls. Now, I got on with them well, but it was still oestrogen overload at times, so most of my waking hours were spent at the guys' house down the road. One of my housemates usually went with me. Of course, we also ended up marrying guys from that house.

I think this is a little bit off topic, but I will attempt to address this question as best as I can.

Lust is as "natural" as the inclination to any other sin. We all have it, but it's a disordered inclination and we're called to resist those temptations. FuturePriest is messing up his terminology. Lust is not the same thing as the desire to procreate, or the desire to participate in the unitive aspect of sex with one's spouse. Lust is an "intense or unrestrained sexual craving." It's the inclination that incites one to use pornography, fornicate, masturbate, etc. Again, it is not the same as physical attraction or sexual desire for one's spouse. It is possible to lust after one's spouse, but ideally lust is not the driving force behind marital relations.

:) thought so,gracious thanks.

I don't think it's befitting to blame brain chemicals this time. I just think you're yelling out random things now.
