That perhaps what you do and say makes women go screaming and running in the other direction. Listen, I've been given grief simply for expressing (in Catholic discussion groups, or so I thought) my desire to get married (and considering I don't have any immediate family and don't know how long my extended family will stay together with people dying off and moving away, that's the only way I'm going to have a family). So, am I wrong for desiring to establish a family, or are others wrong for giving me grief over it? After hearing this, you deserve to stay single. The way you post about it seems very flawed, though, and that's what people bristle at. Like I said before, it sounds to me like you see a future wife as a means to an end, and not a person. And the unequally yoked verse is balanced by the verse talking about unbelieving spouses being sanctified through believing ones.
