I think that whatever the Losties began by dropping the bomb in the hatch, will have to be completed this season, so their flight can return back to normal, and this will probably involve the whatever the black smoke has.

I am also unsure about Ben, he has never seemed so uneasy.

Well this is the last season so everything needs to get resolved.

Questions... spoilers... and guesses....

It was great! I loved it! Finally I get to know what the heck ever happened to Cindy and the kids! I knew they had to show up eventually.

It's fun watching parallel stories-- what would have happened to 815... loved seeing Charlie, Claire and Boone (though I was peeking during the opening credits... should not do that....) and Dr. Arzt and Frogurt.

Can't quite figure out how our people can be in 2004 at LAX and in the "present" time of 2007 with "New Locke" about to smoke monster all over everyone.... Feeling really uncomfortable with the pirates as the "good guys."

I'm guessing that we will come to realize that landing in LA is bad for everyone. I'm guessing Nadia will have married someone else (though she wasn't married when Sayid was one of the Oceanic Six... hmm.... ) And why is Desmond on 815? What's up with that? They must have changed enough of the history that he doesn't get sucked to the island to push numbers... Wonder if 2004 Losties will run into other people who don't end up on the Island (like Danielle, Ben or Juliet, for instance)...

Is Richard going to start aging now? Wasn't it said that he doesn't age because of Jacob?

And what about Walt? Will we see him again?

I think Rose and Bernard are the Adam and Eve skeletons.

walt grew out of his 2004 part and can't be seen as a grown teenage boy

More stuff...

Why does Jack have a hickey or cut or whatever on his neck on the plane?

And Desmond's backstory must have changed enough so that he doesn't go to the stadium and meet Jack, since they don't know each other on the plane... or is Jack trying to remember him from there?

i think he's trying to remember him from there

I'm bummed that I was wrong about my Groundhog's day prediction. But I still predict we will all hate Jacob by the end of the season

I sincerely hope by the end of the season I'll hate Jacob. Right now I'm kind of reluctant about the Man in Black.

And I'm still grieving Locke's supposed death... :sadder:

completely awesome. Exceeded all my expectations.

I think you are on to something laudate about smoke/dark man inhabiting Christian's body.

Also Jacob inhabiting Sayid would be odd, but oh well I will tell you something odd, I dont feel like speculating yet, everything is still too vague.

All in all it was great. I love the 2004 scenes, it really adds depth to everything seeing how things would have been (or are) in both scenerios.

Craziness!

The Temple was cool too.

Oh, and I think the lives of the passengers of OCEANIC 815 will continue to be intertwined throughout Los Angeles.

Did you see the title of the book leading to the Temple? (With the skeleton.) I think it was something by Kierkegaard... couldn't see very well. I'm wondering if it was "Fear and Trembling" -- THAT would be pretty cool.

I agree with you about Sawyer's possible intention of conning Hurley!
[/quote]

Just found out -- that book was Kierkegaard's "FEAR AND TREMGLING"!!!!

Awesomeness.

Yes, Losties, embrace the "absurdity of faith" -- become "Knights of Faith" instead of "Knights of Infinite Resignation"!

This has me thinking more about the Man in Black's role in the whole island mythology...

Hmmm... Jacob/Esau... Isaac and Abraham... Kierkegaard and Hegel.... fun times!

My theory: The "sideways" character arc is the result of the bomb exploding and those people not being brought to the Island because of it. On the other hand, the people who blew up Jughead, that group was thrust back to THEIR present to live the rest of their lives.

Why wasn't Shannon on the flight back to LA?

I think the final season will be the two parallel universes mirroring each other. The characters stuck on the island will have a chance at redemption, while all those who 'made it' and are back in LA will find damnation. Kind of early in the game, but that's my speculation
